I've been with verizon for the last year, and their expensive plans coupled with my lack of pleasure with mobile speak makes me want to switch back to symbian. As of right now, I'm looking at going with AT and T who is offering the 6650 for free. it's not on the supported list of talks's phones, but it does run symbian like every other series 60 phone. Has anyone used this phone, and if so what do you think of it.

I heard it has a flat keypad, but I'm hopefully going into an AtAndT store during Spring break to check it out. I don't know about it supporting Talks.

The Nokia 6650 has a flat keypad. My friend who has it put those locator dots on each key to know what button is what. He is running talks on the phone and it does everything it suppose to do.

Hi, I am wondering if you purchased this phone? I did see this phone and it does seem it may be a little hard to use because of the flat key pad. I am also with Att A t and T and there other phones are:

Nokia N75 which is no longer in stores around here.
Pantech Duo: don't care for this phone.
Moto Q™ Global: I have read alot about this phone but personally I don't like it cause of the size and would like a flip phone.
* Mobile Speak is only $89 with these phones.
I don't want to get the 6650 and find that it is hard to work. So if you have this phone please let me know how you like it.

Thanks a bunch.

I have had the 6650 for a little over a week now, and it ran the demo of talks fine without a problem. Yes nueance hasn't updated their list of supported phones for the new sibian s60 v3 phones like the 6650 so make sure you get the version of talks for those phones. Yes it does have a flat keypad which i didn't like but i am getting used to. Mine does seem to have a slight difference in the textures between the middle keypad (2,5,8,0) and the outer numbers etc. also they all buttons seem to have a dot on them so i have gotten used to navigating it. it seems like a nice powerful phone .. dare i say the only thing that really keep this from competing as a smart phone is the lack of qwerty keyboard and no wi fi, but it is 3G capable though., it appears you can use standard audio files (like mp3s and etc) as ringtones and you can tether it without paying the extra charge at&T likes to charge for that feature.

for a reference the pamtech duo is no longer supported by the disabilities office, they are supporting the pamtech matrix now.
But anyway, I hear the 6650 is a really nice phone, and it's nice cuz it's a flip phone too. Not many good nokia phones are flips, so, definitely that's a huge plus.
I'm too attached to my windows mobile to go back to simbion, so yeah, I can do quite a bit with the AT & T Tilt, and I wouldn't trade it for anything, well maybe a better phone, but in due time, lol.
